Latest in the fight for global pension parity
Time to make your mark
😉While the "frozen pension" issue applies to people who retire abroad, it is relevant to every UK pensioner and imminent pensioner. The UK Government is gradually picking off bits of pension allowances from all pensioners (it has recently threatened winter fuel payments and is talking about cancelling bus passes), with the ultimate intention of reducing payments to a minimum and only to those who are destitute, much as happens in America. The fact that you have paid for your state pension will make no difference - all those retiring overseas paid for their pensions but get no annual increase, so that some now receive less than thirty pounds a week on which to live.
UK pensioners form a substantial - 10 per cent or more - of the total UK electorate so we have a strong voice if we speak together. Tell me your views and let's make this a "living" website that reflects what is happening in our retired environment.
Above all, do everything you can to be able to enjoy your retirement - you have earned it! 🙂
